Traffic information for K Hotel:
From City Centre of Keelung – about 3 mins walk.
From Bus/Railway Station of Keelung – about 10 mins walk.
From Taipei City – about 40-50 mins by taxi drive.
Climate
Most areas of Taiwan are a typical subtropical climate. The weather is generally warm and mild all year round and rather suitable for travel. Average temperature is around 21 ℃ for November in Keelung. It is wet season with 390 mm precipitation for November in Keelung.
The island recieves ossasional snowfall on high mountain region in the winter. It also experiences typhoons in the summer.

Currency
The money unit is the New Taiwan Dollar (NTD), one US dollar currently being equivalent to approximately NTD 32 (subject to change). Notes are in denominations of NTD 2000, 1000, 500, 200, and 100. Coins are in denominations of NTD 50, 20, 10, 5, and 1. Credit Cards are accepted in most hotels, resturants and department stores. Traveler’s checks may be cashed by patrons of most torusit hotels and are also accepted at the most shops and resturants.
Electricity
Electricity is 110 volts, 60 cycles. Standard fittings are for flat two-pin plugs.
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner/Coffee Break
Breakfast in included in Conference accommodation;
Daily lunch and two coffee breaks (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) are proviuded by the Conference;
Dinner will be provided for all overseas invited speakers.
Please note that lunch and dinner coupons can be found in your personal registration kit.
Transportation/Bus Schedule
The conference will provide pick up from K Hotel to conference venue (NTOU campus). Transportation will be provided back to K Hotel everyday after conference & Dinner. Please refer to the detailed daily shuttle bus schedules provided in conference registration kit and information.
Taxi in Keelung are rahter convenient and inexpensive. Since most of the taxi drivers do not speak English, you are advised to bring the Hotel namecard (businnes card) with you as well as the address for your guidance of destination.
